Instructions

1) To calculate the Pivot point, two Resistance and two Support points enter the previous period     High, Low and Close prices.

2)  Press the button 'Calculate'

Formulas:

Pivot = ( High + Close + Low ) / 3

Resistance1 = 2 * Pivot - Low normal trading range
Support1 = 2 * Pivot - High for the next period

Resistance2 = Pivot + (Resistance1 - Support1) extreme trading range
Support2 = Pivot - (Resistance1 - Support1)

Resistance3 = High + 2*(Pivot - Low)
Support3 = Low - 2*(High - Pivot)

Using Pivot Points

When calculating pivot points, the pivot point itself is the primary support/resistance. This means that the largest price movement is expected to occur at this price. The other support(S1-S3) and resistance levels(R1-R3) are less influential, but may still generate significant price movements.
